We're dedicated to public health
Right Wholesale Pharma Ltd, formerly RIG Pharma Company, rebranded on November 28, 2023, to further strengthen our presence in the Nigerian pharmaceutical sector. Since our inception, we have established ourselves as a key player in the industry, marketing 16 registered generic products, including Lumerin tablets, Mefant Injection, and Alviclox tablets. In Niger, we supply 14 approved medications, primarily to the Ministry of Health. Our mission is to leverage global partnerships and cutting-edge technologies to develop, manufacture, and distribute affordable, high-quality pharmaceuticals that address critical healthcare needs.
We have focused our attention in two key areas – Provision of affordable, qualitative and easily obtainable drugs and medical supplies at the grass root levels as well as Importation and Manufacturing of essential medications.
To this end, Right Pharma has been engaged by the Gombe State Government to establish and manage the State’s Drug Revolving Fund for 5 years. We have so far established the Gombe Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Company LTD (GoPharma) which has already proven to be innovative and first among peers.
On the second front, we are engaged on setting up a befitting drug manufacturing facility with the capacity of producing up to 16 different drugs at our location within the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, Dadin kowa, Gombe State.
Our research indicates significant gaps in the pharmaceutical market, which are particularly pronounced in Northern Nigeria. The Nigerian pharmaceutical market was valued at $1.4 billion in 2021 and is projected to grow to $2.3 billion by 2028. Despite this growth, there remains a heavy reliance on imports, with over $513 million worth of pharmaceutical products being imported annually. By expanding our manufacturing operations, we aim to meet this growing demand and reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported pharmaceuticals, particularly in underserved regions like Gombe State, which spends over 1.4 billion naira annually on essential medicines and infusions.
As we await the take up of our manufacturing plant, we have continued to have Contract manufacturing of our 16 NAFDAC registered drugs from 2 companies in India by Shukra Pharmaceuticals LTD and in Pakistan by Seraph Pharmaceuticals.
